– Rachel Stein, TWOP, Parks and Recreation: Who Made the Comedy Grade Last Night?
I still prefer LJ for longer posts. So if anyone wants to read my episode thoughts, they are over there.

numbers-robot replied to your post: I think Ben loves working as much as Leslie, but he’s not married to the specific job like she is, given how willing he was to take the job not even knowing if there was a prospect of dating Leslie. He obviously can’t date her as an ACM if she’s on the City Council and there’s no way they’ll have Chris immediately dump his rule. I’m really excited to see ...

ohlittlerachel asked: Can you imagine the explosion that would happen if Marlene ran into Tammy 1 in the hallway? They'd either kill each other or become best friends.
Anonymous asked: Added to my wishlist for season four, post breakup: a Ben/Marlene or Leslie/Marlene conversation.

TV Fact-Checker: Getting Civic Duties Right on... →
fairytiger:
Know how many steps it takes to construct a public park? Or perhaps how to run for mayor of a small Midwestern town?
Greg Levine does. Since the first episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation, the 29-year-old has been responsible for researching all the intricacies of local government that make the sitcom’s jabs at little-city life so punchy.
I find this a little amusing because...

Unending Delight: The Parks Department: the Floor... →
diaphenia:
Lover of horse dresses and excellent human being ballroompink asked me “Have you figured out the floorplan of the Parks department?” and I realized I had not, and that this was a fantastic use of my pre-Emmy nervous energy. And so:
But don’t take my word for it.

My husband was telling me about a coworker of his who transferred to a different department. Apparently this guy had been there the longest and knew the most stuff and contributed the most blah blah blah, and I was sympathetic. But then he referred to it as “losing a Leslie Knope.” And went on to compare the current situation in his department to that time Leslie took a day off in...
Anonymous asked: "and I am not at all focusing on the way the camera zooms in on Ben's ass in the second frame" ---There were a suspicious number of Ben Wyatt ass shots near the end of season 3.

They say you should write what you love to read, so I wrote this. It’s a hot weather summer fic, with lots of flirting, some ensemble work, and Ben Wyatt soaking wet.
And if you like that, I wrote this last month.

Take Me out of My Envelope, Chapter 3 →
Check this out, I finished something! It’s about time. And this goofy Shop Around the Corner AU is now the longest thing I’ve ever written. That’s weird, isn’t it? Yeah, that seems weird.

Tell Aziz to leave work now! And then report back on how awesome they are.
Ha ha ha, you think you’re so funny. And you are. And yes I will do that.

Husband just e-mailed me from work: “Oh yeah, I got your DVDs. I’m watching them right now.” Dude! That’s just cruel. Bring them home to me.

Anonymous asked: What I already knew and relearned from those bloopers: 1) Amy and Adam eat food and gab and that would be the best show ever (call the Food Network) and 2) Rob Lowe is a dick.

That whole thing was freaking amazing, but I can’t get over the little scene with the cherry stems. I wonder if it was one of those unscripted takes they do at the ends of scenes, but whatever it was, it was ridiculously adorable and funny. I can’t get over it. And Adam at the end, after they seemed to break character, being like, “Really, that was funny?” Like he was...
Drove through Eagletown, Indiana, last night. Not to be confused with Eagleton. This place did not smell like cupcakes.
Anonymous asked: I'm already worried about some anti Leslie backlash from the fandom because she chose her dream over Ben. It would be out of character for Leslie to turn cruel post break up, so I don't think we'd see it, or at least I hope not. and I hope it's established that Leslie broke up with Ben because a run would expose their secret relationship and they would both get fired. Team...

I once used the words “Team Ben’s Happiness,” so I feel like I should explain what I meant by that …
I got an anonymous message that just said “Hey you were right about ____” (and referred to something I don’t remember having an opinion on, so I guess it was harmless). But just in case anyone was assuming otherwise, I’ve been trying to stay away from Parks spoilers. So please don’t try to talk to me about them. Thanks.
