Not to diminish my anticipation of tomorrow’s Parks, but … it just figures. I finally got my writing groove on and am making progress on my Smallest Park fic. But I doubt I’m going to be able to finish it in time. And a new ep is going to mean a whole slew of new feelings, which I probably will feel inclined to incorporate. I just wish I had been able to write this sooner.

I was just thinking about the little park again, and how they built it together. And how when Leslie once asked him to stay in Pawnee she said “Stay here. Help us build something.” And they did, creating this beautiful little oasis in the middle of this otherwise drab little area. We have a couple inches of snow here already, and it’s putting me in the mood for winter fic (even more so than usual). Parks department snowball fight. Sledding. Ice skating. Hockey. Ben complaining about the time his dad made him go ice fishing (or any sort of Minnesota winter reminiscing). People in snowpants. Cuddling in front of a fire. Hot cocoa. You know.

Agreed. I hope it’s just an emotional reaction people were having last night and not going to become a thing. I love Shauna! Mark was pretty shitty to her, and it’s not like she’s ever intentionally tried to go after anyone else’s love interest. I’m kind of disappointed in the Shauna-flirts-with-Ben storyline. I thought there’d be more hilarity to be had with Awkward!Ben getting unexpected female attention.
